I am the creator of the New Voices in Philosophy podcast, a production of the Extending New Narratives in the History of Philosophy project (SSHRC funded). From 2020-2024, I was the co-host and co-producer (with Olivia Branscum) of the podcast. Here is a blog post we wrote for Project Vox on our podcast and the role of podcasts in academic philosophy.
The podcast is a series of interviews with researchers of all career stages who work on understudied and underrepresented figures and topics in the history of philosophy (roughly from 1400-1940). Episodes are intended as introductions both to various figures and themes, and to doing this kind of research. Subscribe on iTunes or Spotify, or follow our RSS feed.
Outside of the podcast, I have been working on the New Narratives project (now the Extending New Narratives project) since 2016. Previously, I have transcribed texts for the digital archive, managed the social media for the project, and helped organize a workshop on designing a new textbook for early modern courses.
One of my main interests is introducing and engaging with figures and topics that have been neglected or underrepresented in philosophy, both in research and the classroom.
